Ray Anderson, Chairman, Interface, Inc. Ray is recognized as one of the world’s most environmentally progressive industrialists and has been recognized by Mikhail Gorbachev with a Millennium Award from Global Green.

S. Richard Fedrizzi, President, CEO & Founding Chairman, US Green Building Council. Rick brought together architects, contractors, designers and builders, through the USGBC, to create a set of guidelines that now governs sustainable development.

Dr. Raymond Cole, Director, Canadian Green Building Council; Wesley Bannister, Chairman MWD; Mona Field, Board of Trustees LACCD; Deborah Weintraub, Deputy City Engineer for LA Department of Public Works; Larry Eisenberg, LACCD; Guy Mehula, LAUSD.

BACKGROUND:
This conference is intended for construction managers, architects, students, engineers, faculty, staff and others who want to learn about sustainability and understand the LACCD Board policy for Sustainable Principles and Standards.

The LACCD Sustainability Conference is part of the District’s effort to promote sustainable development and to support Los Angeles contractors who wish to explore alternative energy technologies. Through voter-approved Propositions A and AA, LACCD is building more than 40 sustainable buildings throughout the District.
